Production Planning and Scheduling Expert

  • We are seeking an experienced Production Planning and Scheduling expert to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP S4 HANA PPDS, with at least 8 years of experience in consulting.
  • They should have hands-on experience in implementing and configuring SAP PPDS, as well as knowledge of master data management, process chain creation, and integration with Material Management.
  • Apart from technical skills, the candidate must have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive process improvements and automation within production planning processes.
  • Additionally, they should be able to write functional specifications and understand ABAP debugging.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and execute SAP S4 HANA PPDS implementations, rollouts, and support projects.
  2. Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze gaps, and design robust PPDS solutions.
  3. Demonstrate strong knowledge of DS board functionalities and features.
  4. Hands-on experience of APO Production Planning heuristics MRP, Configurations like planning board, DS board, Different profiles, PPDS Subcontracting process, Alerts configuration & monitoring.
  5. Knowledge and experience of PPDS master data like Product, location, Resources, production versions, PDS, capacities, Time-streams.
  6. Provide expertise in master data management (BOMs, Work Centers, Routings, etc.).
  7. Good understanding of Process chain creation, monitoring and resolution in case of batch job failure.
  8. Working knowledge on Production orders/Planned orders.
  9. Hands on Experience in SAP enhancements, reports, interfaces and developments as meet business needs.
  10. Familiarity with Integration of SAP PP with Material Management.
  11. Drive process improvements and automation within production planning processes.
  12. Support end users with troubleshooting, issue resolution, and SAP PPDS training.
  13. Develop and maintain functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements.
  14. Collaborate with ABAP and cross-functional teams for solution delivery.
  15. Participate in cutover planning, data migration, UAT, and go-live activities.

Requirements:

  • S4 Hana experience with at least 8 years in SAP S4 HANA PPDS consulting.
  • Strong configuration and implementation knowledge in SAP S4 HANA PPDS with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations.
  • Knowledge of PPDS and PP.
  • Experience in MRP, demand planning.
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
  • Ability to write functional specs and understand ABAP debugging.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
