Job Description

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP QM configuration, customization, and implementation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting workshops and meetings with business users to gather and analyze quality management requirements.
  • Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
  • Configuring and customizing SAP QM modules to meet business needs, including master data setup, inspection planning, quality notifications, and quality certificates.
  • Developing and maintaining QM master data, including inspection plans, material specifications, and vendor evaluations.
  • Participating in full lifecycle SAP QM implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
  • Performing unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system functionality and data integrity.
  • Creating test scripts and executing test cases.
  • Ensuring seamless integration of SAP QM with other SAP modules, such as MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), and SD (Sales and Distribution).
  • Troubleshooting integration issues.
  • Providing ongoing support and maintenance for SAP QM systems, including troubleshooting issues and resolving user queries.
  • Developing and maintaining user documentation and training materials.
  • Providing end user training.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements within the SAP QM module.
  • Staying updated with the latest SAP QM functionalities and best practices.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed functional and technical documentation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an SAP QM Functional Consultant.
  • A strong understanding of SAP QM module functionalities and business processes.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP QM configuration, customization, and implementation.
  • Experience in integrating SAP QM with other SAP modules (MM, PP, SD).
  • Proficiency in creating and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Quality Notifications, Inspection Planning, and Quality Certificates.
  • Experience with batch management in QM is a plus.
  • Experience with industry-specific QM requirements is a plus.
