Space Planner

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Interior Space Designer to join our team as a Full-time position.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced designer who can provide exceptional support to our lead designer. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess strong organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the lead designer in all aspects of project delivery
2. Accompany the lead designer to client meetings at job sites and showrooms
3. Take detailed notes during meetings and take measurements/photos of projects
4. Create CAD drawings for client projects
5. Research d'cor and materials, providing pricing, availability, stock, etc.
6. Place orders, purchase materials, pick up, and deliver
7. Submit receipts for all purchases and orders
8. Track and communicate the status of orders, resolving any problems that may arise
9. Maintain spreadsheets with client selections/finish materials
10. Schedule tasks for designers, contractors, clients, and vendors
11. Respond to client questions and concerns, providing project updates
12. Meet vendors and assist with installations
13. Submit detailed hours (billable and non-billable) and mileage logs monthly
14. Check daily client spreadsheets for new tasks and update the status of assigned tasks at the end of each day

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in interior design or a related field
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
