Fixed Income Portfolio Manager Job Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated student intern for a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager position. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven, financially adept individual with an interest in banking.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Calculating Yield to Maturity (YTM) and evaluating returns on different types of fixed-income securities.
  • Determining Present Value (PV) of securities and assessing market pricing strategies.
  • Comparing investment options such as corporate bonds, fixed deposits, and mutual funds.

Quantitative & AI-based Financial Modelling:

  • Developing financial models in Excel, Python, or R to assess risk and return metrics.
  • Implementing AI-driven approaches for analyzing credit risk and probability of default.
  • Working on Value at Risk (VaR) simulations and machine learning models for risk assessment.

Debt Market & Credit Research:

  • Analyzing corporate bond spreads, relative valuations, and structured finance instruments.
  • Conducting data cleaning and visualization for sovereign credit research and CDS time series data.
  • Assisting in the structuring and evaluation of project finance and asset-backed securities.

Technology & Automation in Finance:

  • Understanding Microsoft Excel AI tools for financial modelling.
  • Developing and testing AI models for credit derivatives and portfolio risk assessment.
  • Working on FinTech tools like Virtual Risk Analyser and Virtual Portfolio Analyser.
