Job Title: Data Migration Lead

Are you a seasoned expert in data migration with a passion for leading cross-functional teams? Do you have a proven track record of successfully designing and implementing large-scale data processing systems?

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to join our team and lead the development and deployment of cloud-based data solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical direction of projects, mentoring team members, and delivering scalable and efficient systems using cloud and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Processing Systems: Design, develop, and deploy reliable data processing systems using Java and Apache Spark in a cloud environment.
  • Big Data Pipelines: Architect and implement big data processing pipelines utilizing technologies such as Apache Spark and cloud-native services.
  • Serverless Applications: Develop and manage serverless applications and integrate them with cloud services to build efficient and maintainable solutions.
  • Container Orchestration: Use container orchestration tools (e.g., Amazon EKS or equivalent) to manage microservices-based applications.
  • Workflow Orchestration: Design and implement workflow orchestration solutions (e.g., Apache Airflow) for managing complex data pipelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product, data, and operations teams) to define technical requirements and ensure smooth integration across services.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and guide development teams on Java best practices, cloud architecture, and data engineering principles.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance and cost-efficiency of deployed solutions in cloud environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java development.
  • Proficiency in Apache Spark for distributed data processing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., EMR, Lambda, EKS, Airflow, or their equivalents).
  • Solid understanding of serverless architectures and microservices design.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team mentoring experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
