Digital Data Architect and Project Lead Job Overview

The Digital Data Architect and Project Lead will oversee end-to-end data programs and projects, ensuring seamless execution across cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or MS Fabric. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing data architectures, ETL pipelines, and analytics processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of data programs and projects, ensuring that goals are met on time and within scope.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of data architectures, ETL pipelines, and analytics processes.
  • Lead the application of Agile methodologies and best practices to ensure continuous delivery and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical, to align business objectives with data solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory standards, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and forecasts, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to meet project needs.
  • Lead data strategy and roadmap planning, aligning technical solutions with long-term business objectives and enterprise data initiatives.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Extensive experience in managing data projects using Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud-based data solutions, architectures, and services across platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Snowflake.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, data pipelines, and integration strategies within a cloud environment.
  • Experience in overseeing the development and optimization of ETL processes.
  • Expertise in data privacy, security, lineage, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and progress.
  • Strong expertise in identifying project risks, mitigating potential issues, and troubleshooting problems that arise during project execution.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, optimize resources, and forecast future needs to keep projects on track.
