We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunication RF Performance Test Engineer to join our Radio Development team at Mavenir.



Job Description:
Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute RF performance testing, including defining test activities, test scope, and quality metrics. Develop and maintain detailed test plans and ensure compliance with customer requirements and 3GPP standards.
  • Collaborate with radio HW design and architecture teams to analyze failures and provide feedback for design improvements. Contribute to the review of HW/SW Interface specifications with emphasis on testability support.
  • Develop and/or use third-party tools and scripts for creating an automated RF Performance testing environment. Generate test progress reports and KPI's to track testing progress.
  • Work with Radio HW/SW integration and validation teams to ensure test capability of the unit as needed to ensure the radio product program meets schedules.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation related to RF performance testing.
  • Travel to customer labs, type approval labs, and production facilities as required.


Requirements

  • A minimum of 7+ years' experience in telecommunication industry in similar roles.
  • Proven track record in Base Station Radio RF Performance testing.
  • Very good understanding and knowledge of 4G or 5G radio design and radio software functions.
  • Ability to interpret 3GPP, Regulatory (FCC/ETSI), System, and Radio level specification to derive requirements and test steps for RF and PHY Performance level testing.
  • Experience with Test automation preferably with RF layer test instruments such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, Network Analyzers, etc.
  • Familiarity with 3GPP Specifications and Conformance Test Specifications related to Radio Unit (specifically 3GPP 36/37/38.104 and 36/37/38.141 specifications).
  • Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills.
  • Curious-minded person striving for continuous learning and innovation.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts.
  • Minimum BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.


Estimated Salary: ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,500,000 per annum.
