Job Title: Expert in Gas Turbine Structural Integrity\

As an expert in gas turbine structural integrity, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our clients' gas turbines. Your primary responsibility will be to carry out static and transient thermal and thermo-mechanical finite element analysis (FEA) of gas turbine components using commercial software such as ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Workbench, NX-CAE, Nastran, and Abaqus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Carry out static and transient thermal and thermo-mechanical FEA of gas turbine components, including blades, vanes, combustion chambers, rotors, and casings.\
  • Perform low-cycle fatigue, high-cycle fatigue, and detailed fracture mechanics assessment of gas turbine components.\
  • Conduct high-temperature creep calculation and assessment, checking for creep-fatigue interaction.\
  • Prepare and document FEA calculations in the form of structural integrity design reports.\
  • Participate in and conduct structural integrity design reviews at the component level.\
  • Ensure seamless transfer of structural integrity calculation input and output between the design team and project lead.\
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential structural integrity issues.

Requirements:

  • \
  • Mechanical Engineer graduate or postgraduate degree from a recognized institution.\
  • More than 6 years of experience in CAE/FEA for linear, nonlinear, static, transient, thermal, and structural calculations.\
  • Experience in using FEA software ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Workbench, NX-CAE, Nastran, or Abaqus.\
  • Strong background in engineering mechanics and mechanical design.\
  • Experience in turbo machinery, preferably gas turbines.\
  • Strong soft personal skills, including teamwork, quick learning, and adaptability.
