Veterinarian Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Veterinarian to join our team at the Youth Organization in Defence of Animals (YODA). As a Senior Veterinarian, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional medical care to animals in need.

• Animal Health Management: Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries in animals, ensuring their optimal health and well-being.
• Medical Expertise: Determine the nature of diseases or injuries by examining pets and large animals, and provide effective treatment options.
• Preventative Care: Implement preventative measures to prevent rabies, brucellosis, and other disorders by testing animals and providing inoculations.
• Animal Welfare: Promote the health and well-being of animals by advising owners on sanitation measures, feeding, and general care.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of animal health, treatments, and outcomes, and report diseases to public health officials.

• Education: B.V.Sc (mandatory), M.Sc/M.V.Sc/PhD (preferable)
• License to Practice: Valid license to practice surgery
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in surgeries, preferably in a shelter environment
