Textile Artisan

We are seeking a skilled and creative Embellishment Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for textile design and be able to bring innovative ideas to the table.

The Embellishment Designer will be responsible for designing original fabric manipulation techniques, embroidery, and textile designs. This will include conceiving captivating color palettes and experimenting with dyeing techniques, laser techniques, and mixing of other materials.

The designer will also create unique fabric manipulation techniques, stay abreast of trends in fashion, textiles, and consumer preferences, choose suitable fabrics and materials based on design requirements and functionality, source sustainable or innovative materials when needed, and understand textile production processes, including weaving, knitting, printing, and dyeing.

In addition, the Embellishment Designer will utilize design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or CAD (Computer-Aided Design) to create digital designs, compile technical specifications for manufacturers, work closely with fashion designers, product developers, and manufacturers to ensure designs align with the overall vision, collaborate with marketing teams to understand target audiences and market trends, develop prototypes and samples to test designs, make adjustments based on feedback and production feasibility, ensure that the final textiles meet quality standards and design specifications, address any issues during production, explore eco-friendly materials and sustainable production methods, and stay updated on new technologies and innovations in textile design.

• Education:
  • A degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field is required.
  • Certifications in CAD or textile technology can be an added advantage.
