The opportunity:

  • You will oversee the quality management process to ensure all incoming and outgoing plastic automotive fasteners and components meet established standards. This role involves leading inspection processes, managing quality documentation, addressing non-conformities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include liaising with third-party auditors to ensure compliance during recertification audits/surveillance audits of IATF/ISO specifications.

Accountabilities
  • Prepare and maintain quality plans, inspection standards/control plans, operational procedures for product (OPS) to guarantee good quality parts with zero defects.
  • Monitor and maintain cost of poor quality (COPQ) & QA manpower costs as per targets.
  • Support in advanced product quality planning (APQP) process of new project development. Ensure smooth new project launches with zero defects during SOP+90 days.
  • Evaluate and communicate customer requirements for joint inspections of parts for new projects or carryover parts as per customer model launch programs.
  • Ensure timely part revalidation as per layout plans submitted to customers (MSIL & Honda).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, reducing defects, and enhancing overall product quality.
  • Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on quality metrics, driving data-driven initiatives to address areas of improvement.
  • Participate in new product launches by conducting design reviews, risk assessments, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the development process.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions (CAPA) in response to quality issues, customer complaints, or non-conformances.

Required skills and qualifications:

Qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years of proven experience in quality management within an automotive plastic injection molding facility, including knowledge of molding processes and procedures.
  • Having minimum 3-4 years of managerial-level experience.
  • In-hand experience with IATF-16949 standards, quality systems, and certifications.
Skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and manage a quality team.
  • Proficiency in quality control methodologies, statistical analysis, and problem-solving techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to data-driven decision-making.
