About the Role

This role involves a combination of solution architecture, engineering, migration, integration, optimization, and performance tuning tasks. You will work closely with data scientists and Generative AI engineers to integrate structured and unstructured data for AI-driven solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Solution Architecture and Engineering

• Design and implement scalable and efficient data engineering pipelines in Databricks
• Architect data solutions that align with AWS cloud infrastructure and integrate with Generative AI models like Llama 3

Data Migration

• Migrate large-scale transactional datasets (50k+ rows and columns) from SQL on-premises to Databricks and AWS S3/Redshift
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security during migration

Data Integration & Optimization

• Build and optimize data pipelines for various use cases, including transactional data for cards and business banking
• Collaborate with data scientists and Generative AI engineers to integrate structured and unstructured data for AI-driven solutions

Performance Tuning

• Fine-tune the performance of data pipelines and models for real-time or batch processing
• Optimize Databricks clusters for cost efficiency and speed

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Generative AI engineering team to expand the MVP into additional scenarios for frontline bankers
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide insights to shape data solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Databricks and AWS platforms (AWS S3, Glue, Redshift, etc.)
• Strong experience in data migration from on-premise SQL environments to cloud platforms
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data engineering tasks
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data architecture best practices

Generative AI Integration

• Experience working with AI/ML teams to support data needs for AI-driven applications (preferred)

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
