Cloud Solutions Engineer Role

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Solutions Engineer to join our team of experienced professionals. As a key member, you will be responsible for guiding clients in their cloud migration journey.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement cloud-first strategies for core data initiatives
  • Provide thought leadership on process and technical matters, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on all facets of cloud engineering
  • Design, develop, deploy, and support the modernization of client's end-to-end cloud strategy, utilizing platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse
  • Mentor and educate client teams to keep them up to speed with the latest approaches and tools, driving innovation and excellence

Requirements:

  • Must have either Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification
  • Proven experience working in consulting or contracting capacity in large-scale data management and modernization programs
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL Servers, cloud engineering, and platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse
  • Strong understanding of Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture, with ability to design and implement scalable solutions
  • Strong knowledge of securing cloud environments, including RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Security Center
  • Proficient in Kafka and Spark, with extensive experience using them in production environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly resolve complex issues
  • Strong knowledge of Scala or Python, Linux administration, and networking
  • Scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates
  • Understanding of security and corporate governance issues related to cloud-first data architecture
