  • Provide technical guidance to students during labs and backend projects, helping them debug, optimize, and scale applications.">
  • Cross-functional collaboration with faculty members and Newton School teams to align curriculum with industry needs.">
  • Mentor students on backend best practices, coding standards, and industry career paths.">
  • Continuous learning and staying updated with backend technologies and bringing industry insights into the classroom.">

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of 4-10 years of professional experience as a Software Developer/Engineer with a focus on Backend Development (preferably MERN stack).">
  • Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, Databases (SQL/NoSQL), and API design.">
  • Solid understanding of backend fundamentals such as RESTful APIs, authentication, server-side logic, and performance optimization.">
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.">
  • Prior mentoring, corporate training, or teaching experience.">
  • Familiarity with modern teaching tools and methodologies.">
  • Exposure to system design and scalable backend architectures.">
