The Opportunity

We are seeking an innovative R&D Regulatory Affairs Director to lead the development of new health supplement products for the Indian market.

This role involves overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from market research and concept generation to product launch and post-launch monitoring.

You will be responsible for managing regulatory functions related to health supplements manufacturing and product development.

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development initiatives and regulatory submissions.
  2. Lead and manage the new product development process for health supplements in India.
  3. Conduct thorough market research to identify consumer needs, emerging trends, and competitor activity in the Indian health supplement market.
  4. Generate innovative new product concepts aligned with market insights and the company's overall growth strategy.
  5. Develop detailed product specifications, including formulation, dosage, target audience, and desired health benefits.
  6. Manage the product development team, including scientists, formulators, and regulatory specialists.
  7. Oversee formulation development, ensuring product efficacy, safety, and compliance with Indian regulations.
  8. Manage pilot production and testing to ensure product quality and functionality.
  9. Liaise with regulatory affairs to ensure new product concepts meet all regulatory requirements.
  10. Develop and present new product proposals to senior management for approval.
  11. Manage the product launch process, including marketing materials, packaging design, and sales training.
  12. Stay up to date on the latest scientific advancements and ingredients relevant to the health supplement industry.

The Skills you will bring to the team

  1. Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Food Science, Food Technology with an understanding of nutrition); a degree in regulatory affairs or a related area is a plus.
  2. Significant experience in Product Development, along with a prior experience in Regulatory Affairs with experience in health supplements industry within India essential.
  3. Proven track record of successful launch of new products, regulatory submissions, approvals, and compliance management.
  4. Strong knowledge of health supplements composition, consumer trends, formulation, regulations, guidelines, and standards in India.
  5. Experience in product development and familiarity with quality assurance processes.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  10. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
