Job Opportunity: Database Administration Expert

This is a challenging role that requires an experienced professional to join our team as a skilled Oracle database administrator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and high availability of our databases in various environments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (12c/19c and later) using industry best practices.
  • Configure RAC (Real Application Clusters), ASM (Automatic Storage Management), and clustering for optimal performance.
  • Manage Oracle listener, network services, and connectivity with minimal downtime.
  • Proactively monitor database health and availability using OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) and custom monitoring scripts to identify potential issues before they occur.
  • Perform advanced SQL query tuning, indexing strategies, and optimizer statistics management to optimize database performance.
  • Utilize AWR, ASH, ADDM reports for comprehensive performance diagnostics and tuning.
  • Optimize schema design, partitioning strategies, and storage allocation to ensure efficient data management.
  • Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC to ensure business continuity.
  • Configure and manage standby databases (physical/logical) for DR readiness and conduct regular DR drills to test preparedness.
  • Validate backup integrity and guarantee RPO/RTO compliance and high availability SLAs.
Requirements
  • Strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c database administration with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in mission-critical environments.
  • Bachelor's / master's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related).

Prior experience in fintech, banking, or lending domain is preferred along with exposure to NoSQL databases or Big Data ecosystems. Knowledge of GoldenGate or advanced replication solutions is also beneficial.
