Job Title: Financial Services Tax Supervisor

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and review of complex financial services client returns. Your expertise will include detailed analysis of hedge funds, private equity, and fund of funds, as well as blocker corporation returns and S-corporation returns prepared by staff or seniors.

You will also be involved in reviewing state returns for financial services clients, identifying international filing requirements through org chart studies, and reviewing international tax returns. Additionally, you will train new joiners on concepts, technology, and provide timely feedback on project reviews.

A strong communicator with excellent people skills, you will supervise kick-off calls to understand clients, regularly connect with US counterparts, and intervene in budget conflicts and resource scheduling issues. You will guide staff/seniors on potential tax adjustments due to tax law changes, e-filing validations, and other responsibilities including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, mentoring team members, and enabling the team towards achieving organizational goals.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Ready to work long hours during busy season times
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work based on project urgency
  • Multi-tasking and handling various projects efficiently
  • Training and supervising staff to achieve timely results
  • Guiding subordinates through technical problems
  • Building working relationships with peers, supervisors, and U.S colleagues

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (US), IRS Enrolled Agent qualifications
  • Experience in detail review of tax returns
  • Knowledge of CCh Axcess Tax, Gofile room, Case ware
  • Relevant experience of 5+ years with major experience in financial services returns
