Job Title: HIL Test Engineer

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the quality and functionality of autonomy software in a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environment. This involves collaborating with developers and process partners to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Capture and develop test cases for new autonomy features, ensuring they meet specific requirements.

    • Validate these features and report results through DevOps channels.

    • Utilize appropriate tools, such as vector tools, to debug, test, and maintain software and hardware systems.

    • Participate in the design and development of application software and algorithms for autonomy platforms.

    • Collaborate with the team to verify and validate the correct operation of autonomous systems.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Computer Science: A minimum of 6-8 years of experience or a PG degree/Masters with 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.

    • Industry Knowledge:

      • Demonstrate an understanding of the industry's trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters.

      • Apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

    • Software Product Testing:

      • Design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements.

      • Test readiness reviews, functional, volume, and load testing.

      • Conduct functional and performance testing on aspects of assigned products.

    • Programming:

      • Proficiency in Python languages and tools for automating test cases.

      • Write, design, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain source codes and computer programs.

    • Technical Troubleshooting:

      • Anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application, or operation.

      • Analyze code, logs, and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting.
