As Regional Coordinator, you will play a critical role in leading our efforts to strengthen program delivery, foster child participation, and innovate approaches in program development.

Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as Regional Coordinator for South Asia. In this role, you will lead the regional strategy and program consolidation, working closely with the Deputy Regional Coordinator and other key stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Developing and implementing Terre des Hommes' regional strategy for South Asia, aligning with global strategic goals.
  2. Collaborating with the Deputy Regional Coordinator to contextualize initiatives with a special focus on India and Nepal.
  3. Fostering a participatory approach by engaging partner organizations, beneficiaries, and child and youth representatives in program design and implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:
  1. A Master's degree in sociology, development studies, social sciences, humanities, journalism, management, or a related field.
  2. 10-15 years of experience in development programmes, with a minimum of five years in a leadership role within an international NGO, operating in India and the broader South Asia region.
  3. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, program development, and managing multi-stakeholder projects in the humanitarian or child rights sectors.
