Job Title: SONiC Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a SONiC Automation Test Engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated test strategies, validating SONiC builds, and ensuring robust performance across routing, switching, and platform-level features.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience in network testing and automation.
  • Strong expertise in SONiC fundamentals, including foundations, test architecture design, and SONiC CLI/commands.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up SONiC servers and builds.
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2 protocols (VLAN, STP, LACP, LLDP, ARP) and Layer 3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, VRRP, ECMP).
  • Experience troubleshooting ASIC/Syncd failures and Redis database anomalies.
  • Proficiency in PyTest automation for test development and execution.
  • Familiarity with PTF and practical experience using SpyTest for network validation.
  • Experience on Data-Center Technologies such as - IP-Clos/IP-Fabric, MC-LAGs.
  • Ability to debug blank box issues and platform-level anomalies.

In addition to the required qualifications, we prefer candidates with NCIA, JNCIS certifications or equivalent, such as CCNA, CCNP (Cisco), NSX-T VCP (VMware Network Virtualization), or PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer). Experience in large-scale Data Center environments and SONiC production deployments is also desirable. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.
