About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Texas Instruments.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and qualifying high-performance power solutions for a range of customer applications in enterprise, communications, and automotive markets. This includes designing and implementing DC/DC controllers, smart power stages, and sequencers. In addition, you will work closely with design, systems, and back-end teams to ensure product manufacturability and reliability.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop new power devices (Buck converter multiphase controller, power stages, Power sequencers, etc.) using simulation tools and test equipment.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, applications, test, marketing, manufacturing, quality, and reliability to drive new product development and production release.
  3. Qualify new technologies and process developments for power products, working closely with global manufacturing facilities to address customer-specific quality, yield management, and cost reduction issues.
  4. Determine root cause of any reliability and qualification failures through failure analysis and provide corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-8 years of experience in power electronics engineering with strong technical background and ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in C/C++ and LabVIEW, as well as experience with bench testing, op-amps, ADCs, mixed-signal circuits, digital circuits, Eagle Test System, and ATE.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of characterization data, set production test limits, predict yield data, and demonstrate problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
