Terraform Automation Expert

Role Description

The position entails reviewing Terraform codebases for Cisco SD-WAN deployments across multiple data centers and branch offices.

  • Assess configuration templates, policies, automation workflows, and state management practices.
  • Provide recommendations and deliver a review report with findings.
Responsibilities
  • Review Terraform codebase for Cisco SD-WAN deployments.
  • Assess configuration templates, policies, automation workflows, and state management practices.
  • Conduct remote knowledge transfer sessions with the client's technical team.
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform (modules, variables, templates, IaC workflows).
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN components (vManage, vSmart, vBond, device templates, policies).
  • Ability to evaluate and optimize state management strategies (remote backends, locking, workspaces).
  • Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git/SharePoint/Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with network automation best practices and SD-WAN deployment models.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication for remote collaboration and client interaction.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years in Infrastructure Automation / Network Automation engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of proven hands-on experience with Terraform in production environments.
  • Practical experience with Cisco SD-WAN automation, templates, and policies.
  • Prior exposure to enterprise-scale multi-site WAN deployments is preferred.
