At EssentiallySports, we are seeking a highly skilled NASCAR content editor to join our dynamic team of writers and editors. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of statistical data and facts, proofreading articles, and enhancing their overall quality before publication.

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for NASCAR and a keen eye for detail. If you have a good grasp of the fundamentals of the English language, American culture, and leadership qualities, you may be a perfect fit for this position.

We value employees who can work independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of publishing articles on time and being flexible for event-coverage days. Additionally, prior experience in leading a team of writers would be an added advantage.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing
  • Prior experience of leading a team of writers would be an additional plus

Responsibilities:

  1. Actively editing and publishing articles daily
  2. Proofreading articles to ensure no avoidable errors remain and checking plagiarism
  3. Researching to ensure veracity of facts and identifying incorrect claims
  4. Publishing articles in a timely fashion for priority news-based articles
  5. Mentoring and guiding allocated writers to refine and boost their quality and output
  6. Ensuring smooth daily operations of writers in the NASCAR division
  7. Undertaking other key duties as instructed by the Editorial Team Lead
