Job Description:

The Assistant Learning & Development Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the implementation of hotel trainings in line with brand and hotel policies and procedures. This role involves developing and maintaining training resources, implementing systems that promote growth and development, and ensuring that all promises to stakeholders are delivered.

Key responsibilities include updating the training notice board with information on the situation in and out of the hotel as well as training information, assisting the Director of Human Resources in creating an effective and efficient operation for the Training department, organizing reward and certification programs, cross trainings, talent programs, and training records.

The Assistant Learning & Development Manager will also be responsible for developing plans to conduct needs analyses and in-house training on a regular basis, facilitating multiskilling, managing the planning and delivery of orientation programs, offering support and advice on personal development plans to team members under their supervision, and providing information as required regarding training records and attendance.

Additionally, the Assistant Learning & Development Manager will assist all departmental trainers if necessary, deal effectively with guests and workplace colleagues from a variety of cultures, be aware of duty of care, and adhere to occupational health and safety legislations, policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • University graduate
  • Minimum 3 years of related working experience in the hotel industry
  • At least 2 years of management experience in a training supervisory or above role, in an international 4/5 star hotel
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English to meet business needs
  • Knowledgeable of Learning & Development
  • Good communication skills
  • Good presentation and teaching skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Excellent coordination and organization ability
  • Willingness to take challenges and work under pressure
