Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned audit professional to spearhead audit engagements in the residential real estate sector, with a focus on low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) and HUD compliance audits.

  • Lead audits for LIHTC and HUD-funded projects, ensuring adherence to US GAAP, HUD guidelines, and IRS Section 42 requirements.
  • Review and prepare financial statements, audit workpapers, and compliance reports in accordance with LIHTC regulations, IRS Section 42, and state housing finance agency requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive client success by delivering high-quality audit services in a timely manner.
  • Provide strategic guidance on compliance monitoring, risk mitigation, and internal control assessments for affordable housing entities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and insights to clients navigating complex affordable housing regulations.

Qualifications:

  • CPA or CA certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on affordable housing or LIHTC engagements.
