Grid Connections and Simulation Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Connection Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Grid Code requirements, defining test cases, and programming in Python or similar.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Grid Code Compliance within our organization.
  • Evaluate requirements without test cases.
  • Translate Grid Code requirements into the software development process by abstracting software requirements and test cases.
  • Support Grid Code compliance and connection within sales and project phases.
  • Develop and implement test plans for Grid Code compliance and quality assurance on wind farm, wind turbine, and component levels.
  • Evaluate and document Grid Code compliance tests.
  • Analyze test data.
  • Suggest new functions and features to enhance Grid Code compliance on wind farm and wind turbine levels.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Nordex products' capabilities to rate Grid Code compliance.
  • Improve processes within Grid Code compliance.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Grid Code requirements.
  • Ability to define test cases and ideally test-driven development.
  • Strong knowledge of Grid Code compliance on power plant level and software details.
  • Programming skills in Python or similar supporting test analysis and automation.
  • Independent, structured, customer-focused, and solution-oriented working approach.
  • Excellent intercultural understanding and ability to collaborate with teams across functions and geographies.
  • Fluent English spoken and written; Spanish and/or German is an asset.
