Job Summary

The Instrument Supervisor will oversee the instrumentation team to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of all instruments and control systems within the facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise the instrumentation team to guarantee the optimal performance of all instruments in the facility.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of instrumentation systems to verify compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth integration of instrumentation systems with overall plant operations.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all instruments and control systems.
  • Identify and resolve instrumentation issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on instrumentation best practices and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to instrumentation processes, calibration records, and maintenance logs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in instrumentation supervision or a similar role, preferably in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems including sensors, transmitters, control valves, and PLCs.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA, IEC, and ANSI.
  • Proficient in using instrumentation calibration and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
