Database Architect Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Architect to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing database solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement database architectures that support our business goals.
  • Analyze complex data requirements and design scalable database solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for database security, backup, and recovery.
  • Provide expertise to engineering teams on database migrations, queries, and performance optimizations.
  • Work on automation of database infrastructure and provide self-service tools to engineering teams.
  • Support and debug database production issues across services and levels of the stack.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 4-8 years of experience running MySQL/PostgreSQL databases in large environments.
  • Awareness of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
  • Knowledge of the internals of MySQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of caching (Redis / Elasticache)
  • Knowledge on scripting languages (Python)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation (Terraform/Ansible)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
