Programme Management Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our programme management efforts in advancing sustainable change across India.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programme design, management, or evaluation within the development sector, with experience in leadership roles.

The successful individual will be responsible for designing, steering, and scaling impactful initiatives, focusing on effective planning, cross-sectoral integration, and outcome-oriented delivery.

  • Skill Requirements:

  • Developing long-term strategies and annual plans for programme themes.

  • Identifying opportunities for collaboration and innovation to strengthen impact.

  • Overseeing select programme areas to ensure timely, high-quality delivery in line with agreed goals.

  • Providing guidance to project teams to strengthen operational efficiency and responsiveness.

  • Engaging with implementing agencies, knowledge partners, and peer organisations to strengthen programme outcomes.

  • Representing the organisation in external forums as required.

  • Mentoring mid-level team members to help them grow into leadership roles.

  • Cultivating a collaborative culture that values learning and accountability.

  • Ensuring effective systems for tracking progress, capturing lessons, and adapting strategies.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related discipline.

Professional Experience:

  • At least 12–15 years of relevant experience in programme design, management, or evaluation within the development sector, including experience in leadership roles.

Person Specifications:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to develop and manage multi-stakeholder partnerships.

  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.

  • Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and translate plans into results.
