Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Intensivist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in caring for critically ill newborns, with expertise in ventilator and CPAP support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive neonatal care in NICU settings, including managing respiratory distress, sepsis, jaundice, birth asphyxia, prematurity, and congenital anomalies.
  • Perform neonatal procedures such as intubation, umbilical line insertion, exchange transfusion, surfactant administration, and resuscitation.
  • Develop and implement care plans for high-risk neonates, ensuring parental counseling and education.

NICU Management

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), ensuring adherence to infection control, monitoring protocols, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate care with pediatricians, obstetricians, nurses, and other specialists to ensure seamless patient management.

Teaching & Training

  • Teach MBBS, MD/DNB (Pediatrics), and nursing students on neonatal topics, conducting bedside clinical rounds and skill-based teaching.
  • Guide postgraduate students in research, thesis writing, and CME presentations, promoting academic excellence.

Research & Development

  • Contribute to clinical research in neonatology and perinatology, publishing in academic journals and presenting at national/international conferences.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and contribute to NICU protocol updates, enhancing patient outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • MBBS + MD (Pediatrics)
  • DM / DNB Neonatology or Fellowship in Neonatology (IAP/NNF recognized)
  • Valid registration with State or National Medical Council
