Job Title: Enterprise Solutions Architect

Role Description:

This role drives analysis and design activities delivering SAP solutions for IT projects. As an expert in the SAP functional area, advice and technical support is provided to client IT Teams, including third parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding complex requirements and identifying SAP impacts and required system changes to drive business change.
  • Documentation of system process through diagramming.
  • SAP Configuration in the required functional area.
  • Write Functional Specifications to explain the required system changes with the required detail for an ABAP programmer to develop from.
  • Functional unit testing of ABAP changes or configuration changes.
  • Working collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders to deliver SAP changes.
  • Implementation of system changes to Production.
  • Warranty support of changes.

Required Skills:

  • A great understanding of SAP functional areas, particularly in ERP Core, Customer Relationship Management, Retail & Commerce, Data & Analytics, Cross-Functional & Governance, and Human Capital Management.
  • An analytical mind-set to understand how the current SAP configuration works and analyse SAP system impacts to arrive at a solution to meet requirements.
  • The ability to question and dig deeper into requirements to translate into clear functional requirements.
  • Explain complex IT concepts in understandable business language.
  • Taking ownership to drive and deliver changes to production or investigate defects to resolution.
  • Ability to deal with senior stakeholders and multiple demands with a degree of ambiguity.
  • A strong commercial acumen and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate changing priorities, understand 'what good looks like', and capable of multi-tasking.
