Lead Saree Designer

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Saree Designer to join our team at Heart & Soul in Surat, India. As a Senior Fashion Designer with 4-7 years of experience in fashion design and saree specialization, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing new saree collections that align with our brand's vision and cater to contemporary fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies for designing new saree collections, incorporating traditional and modern elements.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, fabrics, and techniques of designing.
- Create detailed technical drawings and sketches to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Select appropriate fabrics, colours, and embellishments to enhance the overall design.
- Lead and mentor the design team, providing guidance, feedback, and support throughout the design process.
- Present design concepts and collections to senior management and stakeholders for approval.
- Oversee the creation of prototypes, ensuring that designs are accurately translated into finished products.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to oversee production timelines and quality control.
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Designing.
- A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in fashion design, with at least 3 years specializing in sarees.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of saree designs and successful collections.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Excellent understanding of saree draping styles, garment construction, and traditional Indian textiles.
- Exceptional creativity, artistic ability, and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in both traditional and contemporary saree designs.
- Knowledge of sustainable fashion practices and materials.
- Strong network within the saree industry.
We offer a competitive salary of ₹1200000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
