Embedded Systems Engineer

This role is crucial for the development of firmware in next-gen IoT health devices. Ideal candidates possess expertise in leading firmware architecture and embedded system development, along with experience in AI accelerators and multimodal sensors.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Firmware Development: Design and develop custom firmware for complex products end-to-end, including ARM Cortex-M/-A, STM32MP, TI AM62x, Broadcom, ESP32-S3/C6, and emerging RISC-V platforms.
  • Embedded Systems: Build and optimize Yocto Linux distributions and FreeRTOS deployments across multi-core edge hardware, integrating AI accelerators, DSPs, and multimodal sensors.
  • Device Drivers: Design and deliver secure device drivers and BSPs for IR imaging, high-res cameras, precision load cells, audio DSPs, and comms (BLE, LoRa, USB-C).
  • Embedded ML: Drive sensor fusion and embedded ML (CNN, LSTM, YOLO) pipelines for classification, anomaly detection, and predictive alerts.
  • Test Strategy: Define and execute test strategy: unit, integration, calibration, and live field validation.
  • Documentation: Document processes, support certifications (IoT, CE, FCC, RoHS), and provide manufacturing handoff.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Tier-1 preferred).
  • Experience: 6–8 years building firmware for complex products end-to-end, startup or consumer device exposure a plus.
  • Skills: Strong background in ARM Cortex-M/A, STM32, TI, Broadcom multi-core, ESP32, and familiarity with RISC-V.
  • Technologies: Depth in Yocto Linux and FreeRTOS, BSP/kernel/driver development for imaging, ML, DSP, and sensor stacks.
  • Problem-Solving: Problem-solver, detail-driven, with cross-disciplinary troubleshooting ability.
  • Communication: Clear communicator with solid documentation habits.
