Hardware Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Design Engineer to lead the design and development of complex electronic systems, including vendor coordination, supplier interactions, and procurement as needed for project purposes.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware development and product design, with expertise in mixed signal (ADC, DAC, grounding concepts), high-speed designs (memory interfaces, bus architectures, high-speed communication links), and analog electronics requiring low power, high accuracy interfaces to field sensors and transducers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading teams of hardware engineers in the design and development of complex electronic systems.
  • Developing and implementing design strategies to meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of designing analog circuits with different sensing designs using voltages, current, pressure, etc., and be familiar with 32-bit/64-bit processor-based design, preferably NXP processors, and 32-bit/64-bit microcontroller-based design, preferably STM.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware development and product design.
  • Expertise in mixed signal and high-speed designs.
  • Familiarity with 32-bit/64-bit processor-based design, preferably NXP processors, and 32-bit/64-bit microcontroller-based design, preferably STM.
  • Experience in reverse engineering analysis, BOM optimization, and designing, simulating, and verifying analog circuits.
  • Hands-on experience in meeting industry standards and global compliance for EMI/EMC, functional safety, and incorporating design principles to meet IEC61000 standards, UL, and other safety and wireless compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
