Staff IT Audit Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Staff IT Audit Consultant to enhance our team's capabilities in delivering high-quality audit services.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in SSAE 21 (SOC Reporting) and other AICPA standards, with expertise in planning and executing engagements, including System and Organization Controls (SOC) Examinations, PCI DSS Assessments, HITRUST Assessments, IT Audits, internal audit engagements, pre and post implementation assessments, and issuance of reports under the AICPA Consulting and Attestation Standards.

Key Responsibilities include participating in planning activities to identify client needs and service opportunities in assurance, advisory, risk, and compliance services. The successful candidate will work closely with supervisors and clients to coordinate efforts on various engagements, leveraging industry and functional insights from our advisory business to bring greater value to clients.

Responsibilities also include designing and executing high-quality, integrated, and efficient audit procedures, assisting in building audit methodology, working paper guidelines, quality review standards, and communication protocols, developing audit programs and procedures to establish the Audit processes, streamlining control testing to ensure effective and efficient operations, creating and implementing audit strategy relating to evaluation of significant applications relevant to financial audits, preparing and communicating issues, risks, and recommendations to client leadership, including ongoing insights on potential corrective action plans, and identifying potential clients and generating leads for AARC-360.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Well-versed in SSAE 21 (SOC Reporting) and other AICPA standards
  • Expertise in planning and executing engagements, including System and Organization Controls (SOC) Examinations, PCI DSS Assessments, HITRUST Assessments, IT Audits, internal audit engagements, pre and post implementation assessments, and issuance of reports under the AICPA Consulting and Attestation Standards
  • Strong project management skills and a culture of teamwork
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative to improve relationships and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of industry and functional insights from our advisory business
