We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Recro. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines using AWS Glue, AWS Redshift/Spectrum, S3, API Gateway, Athena, Step Functions, and Lambda.
You will implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) data integration patterns to move and transform data efficiently. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and build scalable, distributed data systems.
You will leverage advanced SQL skills to perform complex data queries, optimize performance, and ensure data quality. You will write, debug, and maintain code in Python (or other object-oriented programming languages) for data processing tasks.
You will develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment of new features. You will ensure best practices for data governance, security, and reliability within large-scale distributed systems.
Required Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on AWS services (Glue, Redshift/Spectrum, S3, API Gateway, Athena, Step Functions, Lambda).
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and designing effective data pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python (or other object-oriented languages).
- Proficiency in advanced SQL and working with relational databases for querying and performance tuning.
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- Knowledge of data security and governance practices in cloud environments.
- Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
