Senior Design Engineer – API 6A Equipment

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned design engineer with expertise in API 6A standards to lead the development of pressure control equipment for wellhead and tree applications. As a critical member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs, conducting FEA and mechanical calculations, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop pressure control equipment per API 6A standards.
  2. Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and other mechanical calculations to validate designs.
  3. Ensure compliance with API 6A, ASME, and customer-specific requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); Master's preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering in the oil & gas industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with API 6A product design and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in INVENTOR, VAULT, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, MathCAD, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, API 6A, and API Q1 standards is a must.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, heat treatment, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
