Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to create visually engaging materials, including scientific illustrations and graphical abstracts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in STEM fields and excellent design skills. They will work closely with researchers, writers, and clients to ensure that all visuals are both scientifically accurate and visually impactful.

About the Role:

  • Developing striking graphical abstracts that represent the essence of scientific studies
  • Creating storyboards that outline the visual narrative, ensuring alignment with scientific content and client objectives
  • Designing rough sketches to illustrate initial visual concepts, collaborating closely with researchers, writers, and clients to refine and finalize the visual representation
  • Reviewing peers' and freelancers' outputs to ensure they meet client expectations and are delivery-ready

Key Requirements:

  • Graduate or PhD degree in STEM fields (Biology/Biotechnology/Medicine/Chemistry/Physics/Engineering)
  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing and communicating science through visually engaging output
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Experience in creating 3D designs in Blender is an added advantage
  • Understanding of the scientific publishing & science communication landscape
