What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design and maintain complex data pipelines integrating Aurora MySQL, Redshift Serverless, and S3/QuickSight for seamless data flows.
  • Develop well-structured data models, materialized views, and APIs that facilitate swift reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Automate scheduled reporting workflows and exports to cater to client and admin requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to drive insights and deliver impactful results.
  • Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of our analytics infrastructure by employing industry-best practices.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Extensive experience with AWS data stack (Aurora, Redshift, S3, Lambda/EventBridge)
  • Profound knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques (fact/dimension schemas, materialized views)
  • Understanding of BI tools like QuickSight, Metabase, or Superset
  • Good grasp of IAM, security, and data governance principles

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Python programming and libraries like awswrangler for efficient data automation
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks (Glue, Airflow, dbt)
  • Familiarity with data lake best practices (Parquet, partitioning)
  • Comfort with infrastructure-as-code concepts (Terraform/CDK)
  • Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS reporting architectures
