Job Title: Piping Stress Engineer

As a seasoned Piping Stress Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient design of pipelines and piping systems. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals who thrive in technical environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough stress analysis using Caesar II software and design effective pipe supports for above-ground and underground pipelines.
  • Identify key data required to perform surge analysis at each project stage, utilizing your analytical skills to provide accurate results.
  • Utilize PIPENET software to perform surge analysis on metallic and non-metallic materials, extracting critical surge force data to inform stress analysis and pipe support designs.
  • Prepare comprehensive surge analysis reports that meet employer standards and expectations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of process systems and analyze potential pressure surges, providing expert recommendations to mitigate risks.
  • Perform technical reviews of stress analysis and pipe support calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain correct pipe properties, guaranteeing accurate stress analysis and meeting vendor-supplied parameters.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant design codes and standards, including ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and ISO 14692.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in piping stress engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Caesar II and PIPENET software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
