Migrating Enterprise Kafka Workloads to Cloud-Native Clusters

Our team is seeking an experienced Kafka Engineer to design and implement automated migration pipelines for migrating enterprise Kafka workloads to open-source or cloud-native clusters.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Scripting and provisioning migration steps, automating validation, rollback, and monitoring tasks.
  2. Developing and integrating custom plugins for Kafka Connect as part of migration workflows.
  3. Building scalable CI/CD processes for Kafka resource provisioning and configuration rollouts.
  4. Ensuring automated tests cover data integrity, performance, and integration interfaces post-migration.
  5. Integrating with cloud orchestration (AWS MSK, Kubernetes operators) and managing infrastructure-as-code.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Apache Kafka administration and migration.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash).
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Monitoring/validation tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Data ops and security automation.
