Electrical Engineer Job

We're seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead design and selection of motors, drives, and motion systems for semiconductor capital equipment.

  • Design and size motors, drives, and motion systems in compliance with SEMI S14, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL standards.
  • Work with industrial I/O systems, including B&R PLCs, to ensure seamless integration and operation.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and develop safety-compliant AC/DC power distribution systems based on NFPA 79, SEMI S22, and UL standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture and clarify technical requirements, load/motion integration for new and existing projects.
  • Manage and maintain product data in PLM systems and prepare electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable routing diagrams, and BOMs using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for control panels, drives, and I/O systems, and participate in FAT execution, customer acceptance, and third-party safety audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles.
  • Experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of PLM systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for drives, control circuits, and industrial I/O.
  • Strong understanding of SEMI Standards, NFPA, and UL compliance requirements.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Basic PLC programming knowledge: experience with B&R and Siemens PLCs is an added advantage.
  • Field commissioning and customer support experience.
