Therapist Role for Children with Developmental Challenges

This is a therapeutic role that requires working with children who have developmental, physical, and cognitive challenges. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing the child's abilities, planning individualized treatment programs, and implementing interventions to promote independence, improve functional skills, and enhance quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental, physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and child/family goals.
  • Collaborate with parents/caregivers to develop and implement home programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and educators.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in India.
  • Experience working with children with developmental, physical, and cognitive challenges.
  • Knowledge of pediatric assessment tools and treatment techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
