Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Network Defense Expert to join our team at Peoplefy. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring security events and alerts from various security tools and systems, analyzing these events to identify potential threats and incidents, and responding to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced information security professional to work with our security teams, network teams, and incident response teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security concepts, including threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security events and alerts from various security tools and systems.
  • Analyze security events to identify potential threats and incidents.
  • Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Investigate security incidents to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Proactively search for threats and vulnerabilities within the network and systems.
  • Utilize threat intelligence feeds and security analytics tools to identify potential risks.
  • Configure and maintain security tools and systems, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewall, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Tune security tools to optimize performance and effectiveness.
  • Enforce security policies and standards.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Implement security best practices and controls.
  • Document security incidents, investigations, and response actions.
  • Generate detailed reports on security incidents, trends, and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of security concepts, including threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, SIEMon).
  • Knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP).
  • Experience with security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, endpoint security).
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) to automate tasks and analyze data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
