Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise:
    AWS Services: We are seeking an experienced AWS professional with in-depth knowledge of key AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and more. Familiarity with newer services and staying updated with AWS's evolving ecosystem is essential.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK, with the ability to design, deploy, and manage complex infrastructures.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, etc. Ability to automate deployments, testing, and monitoring.
  • Security Best Practices: Strong understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles and policies, network security (VPC, security groups, NACLs), data encryption, and compliance.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Expertise in setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using CloudWatch, Wajuh, Grafana, ELK stack, Kibana, etc.
  • SIEM (Security Information and Event Management): Experience in implementing any SIEM tool.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in a multi-account, multi-region AWS environment. This includes addressing performance bottlenecks, resolving connectivity issues, and handling throttling errors.
  • Optimization: Skill in optimizing AWS resources for cost, performance, and reliability.
  • Project Management and Collaboration: Experience leading DevOps projects, from initial planning and design to execution and maintenance. Ability to manage timelines, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure project success.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with developers, QA, security, and operations teams. Bridging the gap between different teams to ensure smooth DevOps practices.
  • Mentorship and Team Development: As a senior, mentoring and guiding junior team members, helping them grow their skills in AWS and DevOps practices. Regularly sharing knowledge through documentation, presentations, or workshops to improve the overall team's capabilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Encouraging and leading initiatives to improve DevOps processes, tools, and methodologies in use. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date with new AWS services, DevOps trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication of complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensuring that all processes, architectures, and configurations are well-documented for future reference.
  • Crisis Management: Experience in managing and leading incident response efforts, including post-mortems, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Cloud Engineer to join our team at Sampoorna Consultants Pvt. Ltd. As a DevOps Cloud Engineer, you will be involved in the whole Software Development Lifecycle, from analyzing requirements to developing infrastructure features, deploying and testing software, and maintaining and continuously improving it. You will automate the creation and management of infrastructure hosted on AWS for various products and services using various tools of the trade. You should take initiative and continuously suggest improvements in existing processes and tools to optimize output. A quick thinker who can troubleshoot and investigate application and infrastructure issues in production environments independently, ensuring zero escalations. A self-driven member open to working with various technologies and teams whenever required. Should be able to properly estimate and then deliver the work within the stipulated sprint timelines.
