Chief Mortgage Lender

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team. As a key member of our mortgage lending department, you will be responsible for originating and processing mortgage loans from application through closing.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, real estate agents, and other stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential, as you will need to evaluate loan applications, assess creditworthiness, and make informed decisions about loan approval or rejection.

In addition to your technical expertise, you should possess a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards. Your ability to stay up-to-date with changing regulations and guidelines is crucial to ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.

• Mortgage Loan Origination: Source new business opportunities and originate mortgage loans from application through underwriting and closing.
• Credit Evaluation and Risk Assessment: Assess creditworthiness, review financial statements, and evaluate property values to determine loan eligibility and risk.
• Loan Processing and Underwriting: Ensure accurate and timely loan processing, including verifying borrower information, reviewing loan documents, and making recommendations for loan approval or rejection.
• Customer Service and Communication: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and communicating loan status and decisions in a clear and transparent manner.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, business, or economics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mortgage lending, banking, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, including fixed-rate and adjustable-rate loans, government-backed loans, and private-label loans.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
