Healthcare Integration Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Integration Specialist to design, develop and implement complex interfaces that ensure seamless data exchange between clinical and enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in healthcare interoperability and interface development, with strong knowledge of HL7 standards (v2.x, v3, FHIR, CCD) and various communication protocols such as SFTP, MLLP, and web services (SOAP/REST).

  • Design, develop, and implement complex healthcare interfaces using Corepoint, Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect), and Rhapsody.
  • Perform rigorous testing of interfaces to ensure data integrity, message routing accuracy, and system reliability.
  • Monitor interface performance and provide timely support for production issues, troubleshooting and resolving errors, message failures, and connectivity problems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all interfaces, including design specifications, data maps, and operational procedures.
  • Familiarity with database concepts and the ability to write and execute SQL queries.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Interface Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement complex healthcare interfaces using leading interface engines.
  2. Interface Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous testing of interfaces to ensure data integrity, message routing accuracy, and system reliability.
  3. Interface Support and Maintenance: Monitor interface performance and provide timely support for production issues, troubleshooting and resolving errors, message failures, and connectivity problems.
  4. Documentation and Communication: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all interfaces, including design specifications, data maps, and operational procedures.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare integration/interface development.
  • Strong knowledge of HL7 standards (v2.x, v3, FHIR, CCD).
  • Experience with various communication protocols such as SFTP, MLLP, and web services (SOAP/REST).
  • Hands-on expertise in at least one interface engine: Corepoint, Rhapsody, or Mirth.
  • Good understanding of healthcare workflows, EHR data exchange, and interoperability concepts.
  • Exposure to troubleshooting and debugging tools within interface engines.
