Senior Full Stack Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the modernization of our legacy platform. As a senior full stack engineer, your primary focus will be migrating our legacy UI to Spring Boot microservices and hosting UI pages on AWS.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing highly available, resilient, and secure production systems on AWS Cloud.
  • Migrating legacy UI systems to our new microservice architecture.
  • Upgrading legacy Java applications to Spring Boot applications ensuring high-quality and secure code.
  • Testing, documenting, and otherwise quality-proofing work to ensure that software meets business and operational needs.
  • Maintaining CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployment processes.
  • Troubleshooting any issues to identify root cause and appropriate resolution.
  • Supporting production deployments, operations, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitoring metrics and identifying ways to improve logging, reporting, and alerting.
  • Following agile principles and participating in Scrum ceremonies.
  • Collaborating inside and outside the team - engaging with other engineering teams, product managers, support, and security teams.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with Java and related frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with Javascript and related frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices, build, and deployment technologies.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Experience working in production with AWS Cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding of security concepts and vulnerability management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
