Job Title

A seasoned Solar Project Director is sought after to lead and manage large-scale solar power projects from initiation to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive project execution plans that align with organizational objectives.
  2. Conduct detailed risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  3. Establish KPIs and project monitoring mechanisms to ensure smooth project delivery.

Project Execution & Monitoring

  1. Oversee end-to-end execution of solar projects, ensuring strict adherence to scope, cost, and timelines.
  2. Monitor daily site progress, coordinate with site engineers and contractors, and implement corrective actions in case of deviations or delays.
  3. Ensure seamless integration of solar systems with grid/BESS infrastructure.

Engineering & Technical Oversight

  1. Review and validate engineering designs, layouts, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with electrical, civil, and mechanical design standards.
  2. Provide technical guidance to engineering and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  3. Ensure quality audits and inspections are conducted at various stages of the project.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  1. Implement robust safety protocols and EHS standards at site to prevent accidents and injuries.
  2. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  3. Prepare detailed project closure reports and lessons-learned documentation for future reference.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Energy or equivalent (Master's preferred).
  • 12+ years of experience in managing large-scale solar EPC/Utility/C&I projects.
  • Proven track record of handling MW-scale solar projects with minimal risks and errors.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, project execution methodologies, and renewable energy regulations.
  • Experience in contract management, procurement, and vendor management.
