Middleware Administrator

The Middleware Administrator plays a pivotal role in overseeing and maintaining middleware applications.

This includes WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat as well as leveraging AWS Cloud services and DevOps practices to ensure seamless integration and efficient operation of systems.

  • Middleware Management:
  • Install, configure, and manage WebLogic, Apache, and Tomcat servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to middleware applications in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitor the performance of middleware platforms to identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations as necessary to maintain compatibility and security.
  • Cloud Operations:
  • AWS or similar cloud implementation knowledge is essential for managing cloud infrastructure and resources.
  • Provide cloud operational support to ensure smooth operation of cloud-based systems.
  • Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc. to ensure secure and efficient data storage and processing.
  • DevOps Practices:
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for middleware applications to streamline deployment and testing processes.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Terraform scripting is required to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Scripting and Automation:
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) is essential for automating tasks and workflows.
  • Experience with automation tools and techniques is required to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Database knowledge/experience is necessary to ensure seamless interaction between middleware applications and databases.
